“Herbs, flower petals and aloe can be used to make your own scent extracts by filling a pint jar with washed, crushed herbs, filling with clear vodka, placing in the sun and letting it brew for a few weeks. Strain the liquid and you have extract for your own soaps.

Also try infusing oil with dry herbs by covering crushed leaves and flowers with almond oil. Heat water on a low setting for 5 minutes and then sit your jar in the water for 2 minutes (do not boil). Stir mixture daily for a week before straining and using.”
